About this service:

About this service:

We know that even the best laid plans fail without follow-up. That is why we offer the Progress Follow-Up service. This follow-up consultation is designed to be used in conjunction with any of our academic planning or job search services/packages, and will be conducted by the lawyer-advisor who delivered your initial service(s).

During the Progress Follow-up, your lawyer-advisor will conduct a reassessment of your initial service in order to track your progress and re-evaluate your goals.

For example, if you purchased the Applicant Profile Assessment (or a package which includes it), then your lawyer-advisor will conduct an Applicant Profile Reassessment during the Progress Follow-Up. This reassessment will show how much progress you’ve made and help you set new goals to make yourself more competitive for admission to law school.

3 Months

You can choose to have your Progress-Follow-Up take place 3 months after your original service or package

6 Months

Or you can have your follow-up take place 6 months after your original service or package

9 Months

If you have more time, you can choose to have your Progress Follow-Up take place 9 months after your initial service or package

What happens during the follow-up?Here are some examples of how a Progress Follow-Up can help you track your progress and set new goals:

If you initially purchased the Applicant Profile Assessment (or a package which includes it), your lawyer-advisor may conduct an Applicant Profile Re-Assessment in order to track how much progress you’ve made, and show which areas you need to focus on in the final stretch before applying to law school.

If you initially purchased the Law School Admissions Assessment (or a package which includes it) your lawyer-advisor will: conduct a reassessment to see whether you’ve improved your odds of acceptance at your selected law schools; and make additional suggestions to further improve your competitiveness.  This is a great tool for making informed decisions when it comes time to decide which law schools to apply to.

If you initially purchased the Admissions Action Plan (or a package which includes it), your lawyer-advisor will assess how well you have implemented their recommendations, and which recommendations you should focus on implementing before you apply. This is a great opportunity to get your lawyer-advisor’s advice if you have struggled to implement any of their recommendations, or ask for tips on how to ensure you receive the most benefit from those recommendations you have implemented.

If you initially purchased the Job Search Strategy Session (or a package which includes it), your lawyer-advisor will assess how well the strategy has been working, make further suggestions to help you secure employment.

Frequently asked questions about this service.

How will my progress follow-up take place?

You choose! Either by phone, or online via video/chat.

We use Zoom to power our online video/chat, which allows us to talk face-to-face via video, send instant messages, and even share our screens with each other. It all works with a single click, and you can even make a test call before starting. Feel free to book a free consultation with one of our lawyer-advisors to see our Zoom video/chat in action.

When/how do I schedule my progress follow-up?

After you purchase the Progress Follow-Up* (or a package which includes it), you will gain access to your very own G&G portal. There you will complete your profile, be matched with a lawyer-advisor, and receive your first service(s)*. After receiving your first service(s), you will receive a link to your lawyer-advisor’s calendar, where you can book your Progress Follow-Up whenever is most convenient for you – we suggest either 3, 6 or 9 months after your initial service(s).

* The Progress Follow-Up must be purchased in conjunction with another service (or as part of a package which includes other services) in order to have a baseline service on which to base the progress you’ve made.

What if I have not purchased any of the services/packages mentioned - can I still purchase a progress follow-up?

Even if you have not purchased any of the services mentioned above, you can use the Progress Follow-Up in conjunction with any other service we offer as an opportunity to ensure you reach the goals you set for yourself.

In our experience, accountability is an excellent motivating factor in pushing our students to reach their goals. By scheduling a check-in with one of our lawyer-advisors, you create that accountability for yourself. The Progress Follow-Up  also gives you the opportunity to discuss your goals, how best to reach the finish line if you haven’t quite gotten there yet, and even to simply have someone congratulate you on everything you have achieved so far.
